Who cares! We aren't talking about the DA. We are talking about the ANC not having the power to do as they please and that is a great thing for any democracy. I would say the same thing if the DA/IFP/COPE/FF+ were in power. Power is a dangerous thing and no government should have the ability to do as they wish.

Its better than 9 out of 9 provinces and 69% of the vote.
Not constitution, no 2/3 majority and 5 years for the opposition to claim another province.
I ask you this: Why would they call for the disbanding of a very effective force known as the Scorpions? They were doing a blady good job.
Again I ask: Why is this seen as a GOOD thing by ANC supporters?

Not necessarily, the may not have intentions now but the temptation will be there for the next five years. Anything could happen and its best they were denied such power.

They still have an 80% conviction rate, much higher than the SAPS. Besides that, in all likelihood, was the lawyers at the NPA not following due process.
I don't see it as a good thing and I'm an ANC supporter. A simple majority of 51% would do just as well for me.

Looking at where the votes are outstanding, the ANC is only likely to get 60% of the remainder. So very unlikely that they can get 2/3 thirds majority. Around 65% is bang on the money.
Then why even mention the fact that "they will still rule unopposed" as if it's a good thing?
Also, why are your ANC comrades so eager on getting the 2/3s?

Did their existence result in lower levels of crime in anyway? Or were they busy conspiring against politicians while the real criminals enjoyed open season.
Corrupt politicians are real criminals? Thats the problem with ANC and their supporters it seems that if you have power, being a criminal doesnt matter...
They investigated crimes of fraud and bribery. Not hijackings and murders.

A conviction in a court of law is a conviction beyond reasonable doubt. This is a unit tasked with stopping "white collar" crime; not patrolling the streets of Hillbrow. So, as such, they were extremely effective in their mandated area - your attempt to try and detract from their success is unfounded and extremely baseless without a shred of proof.
The "real" criminals enjoy open season thanks to the SAPS.
Just out of interest - you obviously believe that organised criminals (the biggest targets of the Scorpions) are politicians; I would agree with you there.
