There slogan is "always connected" well I donno about other ppl but I am not always connected and never have been. The longest connection time we have had is 14hours. Iburst is a pain in the butt!

I personally hate it and I am waiting for a response from telkom about ADSL and when it will available and we will can it. We still rely on our ISDN anyway. We DO NOT CARE if it gets any better. **** THEM!!!

I have to say that it's always been connected when I needed it, and as already stated I spend a great deal of time on the net.

It only went down once over 3 months and that was because they were playing with my base station for about 30min.

Just wait until you see my log. I was thinking of changing it from a disconnection log to a connection log.

for me thats never been a problem, I can stay online for days at a time if I choose and when it drops like once a week it takes a second to reconnect. How sure are you that the problem isn't on your side?

I've got the same situation as slim - i can stay connected for days. Been connected for a solid 93hours, with incredible speeds. I guess i'm just one of those lucky users. 20 megs left b4 CAP, let's see how it goes after then...

Often get more than a day, max was 4,5 days. Currently 1d 3h 38m 12s
Then again I get times when a connection lasts a couple of minutes.
And tower jumping doesn't imply a disconnection, so that's not the reason for short connections.

Not a problem on my side. They have come and seen for themselves.

We get good-great speeds when connected, reconnection is very quick, as long as we are "allowed to". This rarely happens.

I have to add a counter point ... I'm also connected to Kyalami & have no problems holding long term connections.

My router stays up & logged in 24/7 and so far I've only been disconnected once for 3 min in the 25 odd days I've had iBurst. BTW I have hit my cap during this period as well ... no disconnect, bw just slows down.

If its not something on your local setup maybe it some form of inteference in your area? Or possibly you're not always using Kyalami tower. Use UTD diagnostic access to really check which towers your UTD is using.

Check iBurst Technical thread ... Accessing the UT-D (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=23369).

Was discovered by GRES. It seems he wishes not to publish info on open forum as he warns it is dangerous if you stuff around in diagnostics interface.

To not piss him off (wrt future info) I'll PM you the info if you want.

I have to say my connection hardly drops. Infact I disconnect more than it throws me off

Is there a way to automatically connect in XP when it starts up?
