Not getting joy from WebAfrica

...and you make a thread with no info at all and then saying you are handling it in PMs ...why make a thread ?

Hi kenironside

Kindly forward your PM you sent to WAMatt to me and I will assist you further.

There seems to be this pressure not
to say what's on your mind. The company
won't punish you for raising a problem.

Though, knowing WA, there are plenty
of avenues I would try before this one.

Only had good service from WA.

Hope yours get sorted.

Which WA person can I forward an issue too?

My download speeds have dropped in the past 2 weeks. They are very erratic & my browsing is just terrible. This morning I opened Google & I timed how long it took to open which was 5 minutes. I can't open more than 1 tab otherwise nothing works. Even browsing a forum is extremely stressful & when I do get to post, eventually, people want to know why I am digging up an old thread? LOL

I called WA yesterday & some dude said he would refresh or restart my line. I was asked to restart my modem yesterday when I got home, which I did but nothing improves. After suffering for about 20 minutes, it flies for like another 5 & then it goes back to the not loading anything. I need to stop & refresh some pages like 10 -12 times before they even load.

:(

Anyone think they know what the problem might be?

Hi guys

@D3x - would you mind please sending me a pm with your contact details and client code.

This is very unusual and I would like to have your account investigated for you.

Thank you.

Thanks Angelo, I will send it immediately. :)

didn't take me too long to fire webafrica.... found the service poor, and the product pretty lame and i got fed a really unreasonable amount of BS by their support (change your DNS - i do nothing and a day later it works - fail).

these days, we can change isp's without any drama - the power of being a consumer with choice...
i choose you NOT! bye!

/boodah

lol so what was the issue?

This thread is like going to the bar and asking the bartender "I would like 1 booze please"

Or going to a DJ "Can you please play that other song, the one with the drums, where the guy sings, with the guitar......."

Just wanted to add...

Had great XP from Web Africa...
Simple online registration with immediate activation and followup call from a moderator.
The prepaid option really came in handy ofter being capped by telkom right at the end of the month.
Will be subscribing to one of their dsl packages as from next month..

:D

My experience of webafrica has always been super. Never had any problems
