Not getting SMS's from CellC?

I ported to Vodacom in August, and have recently been bitched at by a few people because I ignore their SMS's - and I even lost out on a good deal because if this.

I don't get SMS's from CellC... anyone know who to contact for something like this?

I'm assuming it has something to do with the port?!
 
Could be something with the routing of the line. VodacomData might be able to assist. Have you spoken to Custer Care yet? Did they supply you with a ref number? It does sometimes happen that a client cant recieve calls/sms from his old donor network once the port is done, but this normally corrects itself by the next morning after porting.

Thanks VodacomData is having it looked at :)

My original nr. is a Vodacom number, I ported to MTN, realized my mistake, and ported back to Vodacom.
 
xrapidx you must be the only person in South Africa who has ported twice, you are probably testing code in the backends that has never been run before!

Your problem and the many others described on this forum are the reasons why I trashed all my 083 numbers and didn't port. Well, that and the fact I didn't want to be associated with MTN any more. :p

Were you able to receive SMS's before from Cell C number after porting to Vodacom or have you never been able to receive since porting?
 
i asked sellC twice to send me sms`s

They either not sending me sms`s or ignoring me.

My parents and brother are on CellC

Yip - could before port, can't after port.
 
So get new parents and new brother....or port them to Voda also :-)

What I meant was, after you ported to Vodacom, were you able to receive SMS's from Cell numbers for a while and then it just stopped working or did it not work straight after porting?
