Not happy with MWeb uncapped unshaped speed

Dude 360 PING is not bad at all! I have no idea why you are complaining, my max is 450 to LA no problem.

What is your ping for www.aerovps.com out of curiosity, on your Mweb business.
Your ping to Florida isn't bad though, but to be honest, that's not much of a challenge if you're connecting to the US. FL and NY gives rather nice pings, it's all along the coast.

Oakavenue, there was some packet loss on that ping test... the first sign of an ailing connection. Try running the tests again, at 30 minute to an hour intervals and see if the packet loss persists. If it does post here so we can give you some feedback and then call MWEB to have them troubleshoot your connection.

Maybe even a router reset, before trying these tests again? Turn off the router for 60s and then turn it back on.

Hi Oakavenue,

Would depend on your line speed (& more importantly line health) and whether there was any other traffic being passed at the time of the test.

For reference here are some tests from a MWEB Business ADSL 4096 in the JHB area ...

Maputo

*High latency to Miami on speedtest seems to be related to remote host, pingtest does not exhibit high latency.

Please PM if you'd like me to investigate your connection further to ensure that performance is not being hampered by some external influence (e.g. ADSL line quality etc.)

At Oakavenue,

What sort of testing did you do before posting? You ran two speedtests and that's it? Did you try resetting your line, checking your router etc? What's your connetion settings info (SNR, Attenuation etc).

I love how people just post "unhappy about this or that" without knowing the full details.
