Not Registered On Network

Today I'm getting a not registered on network error message whenever I try anything on my phone, recharge, USSD etc all results in this message. It's a prepaid Sim. How do I fix this?

Try cleaning the sim card with a cloth, has solved it once or twice for me.

If that does not work, you will need to contact CellC customer support and give them your cell phone number. Hope you have a spare CellC sim you can use so that it's a free call.

How long ago did you recharge? It could fall into expiry window.

Lucky could have been a illegal sim swap

Not registered on network normally means a simswap has been done. Lucky that wasnt the case on yours, with all the stuff going on its quite scary.

Yeah I'm with capitec though so they can sim swap till the cows come home, won't get a cent from my account

I think it might have, but you can usually still recharge in the expiry window to activate it again, I couldn't even do that, but its fixed now

A simple phone restart also works sometimes.
