Notebook LCD Cracked, replacement source?

I have a Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3525 notebook, display now cracked, 15.4-inch TFT WXGA / 1280 x 800 pixel.

I have already stripped the LCD, took less than ten minutes.

All I need to know is where I can source a LCD Screen locally, Cape Town if possible.

It is Chinese made, CHUNGHWA HJC 0522.

Will only get from Agents if no other option.
 
That's not too bad. Hope you are going to report back on the reassembly and test.

Wow, awesome service, received it this morning, before tea time, nicely wrapped via RAM Couriers.

Will install this evening, maybe take some shots of the process?

Was quoted R3230.00 by one of the other options above, just for the Panel :eek:

Might as well upgrade the Ram whilst at it to 2GB :D
 
Back online again

All sorted, new screen fitted and looks good, just slight differences but it fits.

Much brighter, colours look good.

Well, back on the road again :D

Notebook Battery local source?

Don't really want to start a new thread, but now looking for a local source for a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V3525 Laptop Battery or compatible.

Original part numbers:

Can get the Battery from the same source as the LCD, but if I can source one locally will be able to save on Shipping, just walk in buy and walk out ;)

Ordered the Battery from same supplier as LCD and been promised for tomorow morning.

Oh well almost the money spent for a new Netbook :D

Anyway, old faithful will now be kept very far away from visiting kids :eek:

Floor tiles can be very unforgiving.
