Notebook needed

My sister needs one, has about R6k what would you recommend?
I have an account at Rectron and Esquire.

Thanks just need some advice.
It would be for work, would like windows 7

The Mecer and Proline i3 and i5 offerings are the cheapest available in SA right now.

Personally I would see if I can get an Acer Core 2 Duo in that budget range.

From Rectron, I would advise either a Gigabyte, Samsung or Asus. The Gigabye Q1580P is really nice, and comes with FreeDOS, so if you want to install Linux, then you do not pay for Windows that you will not use (or if you have an existing Windows that you want to use). Samsung R519 is nice if you want a basic computer. Most laptops nowdays ship with Win7....

it's a great laptop! The rebeltech service was great, I ordered, then the next day they had it in stock at 9am. Thumbs up to rebeltech!

*Make sure you have an OS disk to install, as the Laptop does not come with An OS really.. It comes with FreeDOS.. I just popped in my windows 7 Disk, installed and Voila!

It really is a great laptop. Show me any laptop with the specs of this one for this price.

HP i3 or i5, a bit over R6000, but i would not recommend it if you plan on playing games on it. Samsung is beautiful as well, getting the i5 Samsung end of the month.

Yes, very much so!

I ordered it on Wednesday this week, and the had stock the next day at 9:00pm! Great service, we went to collect it from the offices. I EVEN GOT A FREE LAPTOP BAG! (cus he had one left over)

i'd definately give it a thumbs up!
