uunet uncapped is really best effort atm, been using it self for a long time and gaming only possible after business hours.. mostly 60ms when the network isnt congested.
Downloading internationally is up and down, if u want an uncapped solution and not worry about getting capped, its fine.
But I wouldnt recommend it if you were aiming at gaming local/internationally only.. International traffic is shaped really badly, 800-1000ms with 30-50% packetloss.
googleplex should really update the FAQ, uunet uncapped hasnt been unshaped for MONTHS.
To give you the international latency idea, here is examples taken few minutes ago. This isnt a once off problem, this is the way the network is configured for months now, and its not a problem.
HTTP Access via uunet is as fast, if not faster than normal saix accounts, most of the time.
