Let me tell you my story.

Hosted my work's website on a derivative of Red Hat - never got hacked.

Until the work decided to outsource the hosting (partly motivated by the Eskom loadsheddings in those days) - and hosted it on a Windows system - it got hacked pretty quick after that.
