Having a look @ http://www.hackingstats.com reveals that everything hacked in the past couple of days is either running on Micro$oft Server 2003/IIS or Joomla/Wordpress.

So, I would assume unpatched Micro$oft Server and Joomla/Wordpress unpatched vulnerabilities?!?

Joomla is often easily hacked when people don't remove the install files after a successful installation. WordPress is often attacked becuase ther are so many sites running it, but they are very good at releasing security patches. People just have to make sure that they are running the latest versions.

In most cases (not all, but most..) hacks are the fault of lazy web admins.
