NSA can access encrypted data on smartphones: report

Catch 22, we are stuffed anyway, i.e. moving away from the likes of Microsoft products will prove very difficult because we have nothing to replace it with. If we should consider open source, it comes with risks and shortcomings. Most countries do not even have skills and manpower to code their own software to the level of MS. It seems therefor that we will forever be dependent on the likes of MS, whether we like or not.
