Hey guys, finally ADSL Installed yesterday, works like a dream for Torrents, downloads in peak time with SAOL 30 gig shaped, altho games do suffer..

I am interested in getting a Nukecap account....

I just need some help as i am not that good on these diff techs to get where i want :P

1. Is it possible to still have a Nukecap account with another ISP Active?
2. I have my gf who downloads mp3's for Ipod/Itunes and work for Uni, does this affect Nukecap account? Kinda the big issue :)
3. I soley want Nukecap account for gaming, Ie Worlds of Warcraft i know works great from replies, how does Guild Wars run?
4. I do game a lot when home from work, not mostly in the day during weeks but a lot on weekends when time aval....if biggest package not big enough, are custom accounts Aval?
5. How quick is the account activated? if i activate it sunday eve for example?

Any info will be great :)

1) The Nukecap account runs on top of your normal ADSL account. It creates a VPN tunnel using your ADSL (or other) connection.
2) I think you should just make sure nukecap is not active on your GF's PC or if she also use your PC, then disable it while the downloads happen so that you do not use up your nukecap bandwidth.
3) Some people on the forum uses Nukecap for Guildwars around the end of the month when shaped ADSL gives the most hassles. The rest of the time it seems they do not even need Nukecap.
4) You will have to PM Clipse about that.
5) Same answer as question 4.

Hi Rob

Feel free to pm me but here is all related answers:


1.) Our LowPing VPN Service work with any ISP

2.) We allow one login only at a time and then only works on that machine, not across the network.

3.) WOW, GW, Eve, Starwars Galaxies, list goes on.. they all work great.

4.) Well if the Biggest package aint enough, you can allways topup when you run out of Megs. Eitherway, I can assure you, you wont need the biggest package for any RPG during a month ;-)

5.) Generally within a few minutes from receiving your application. So dont worry about waiting, its pretty straight forward and fast signup process.
 
Awesome, Thanks guys, sorry i was not that sepcific....yes the Lowping/VPN Package what i meant :)

The current setup i got at moment is ADSL/Router ---- > To a second Router --- >> My Pc and my Gf PC.

So kinda wondering how does VPN work etc, and would my Gf using her PC same time as me affect Nukecaps bandwidth for gaming use ...if i am gaming, or is there a way to make my PC ---> Nukecap....Gfs ---> Saol ?

As for bigger package, again not me being specific, my fault.. If it does end up with my Gf using Nukecaps bandwidth...etc etc see my point hehe. Nah i aint that bad of a gamer i swear! ;)

I was orginally gonna go for SAOL unshaped but the 4 gig didnt seem good Vs Nukecaps replies and great options :)

Hopefully i will try get an account up this weekend, getting WoW and GW Withdrawls! :eek:

You have probably stolen half my threads, and Pmed half the OpenWebbers with your marketing. I suggest you practice what you preach, or not preach at all.

Heh, didnt expect it to turn like this! ;)

I made a post about 2 months ago while i was waiting for my Adsl about Nukecap Vs Saol Unshaped. *dunno how to dig up old posts*

After deciding i went for 30 gig shaped, only cause of my other side pulling the line dry. Ie i finally get Adsl installed, and its over in a week type thing heheh.

My main concern is Int Bandwidth. That is all i want, with biggest cap aval. Unshaped for gaming usage.

Both Saol and Nukecap have been amazing in support to questions. Clipse fast/service/detailed replies really help for n00bs like me.

Saol have been great since i applied for DSL line, Telkom never phoning back, never had an idea for Install date/Exchange ports. Got really annoying. I never had ONE call back or answer.

After phoning SAOL to say i will be using them and if possible to help with install promised to call back and they did in 3 hours to confirm that it had been sorted out, the next day exchange had my ports enabled/installed.

*being a month later*
All i had to wait for was the techie to come out and install the adsl, once done phoned Saol and even she even reconised me! Up and running in 10 mins.

I think its awesome we have companies like Nukecap and Saol who do think for Customer needs. Esp us gamers :D

At the end of the day Local means nothing to me in Nov 1st + but i am sure this goes for many other MMORPG's Gamers.

Then again i am just depressed that in UK via NTL I had a 1 Meg Cable Modem No Cap/No Shaping. Really does feel like walking backwards here.

Just hope after Nov 1st gamers will still be in Isp's concern for Int gaming :)

No problem Pedantic, I just wouldnt have jumped in SAOL thread and advertise my product, unlike what MrBEEP seem to imply with his girlfight.

On the flipside, no harm done, just didnt feel right to me at the moment.
