Both Cod and CSS have they advantages / disadvantages and they both awesome :)
 
Nobody will play this. Or at leaset it'll come out and all the 1.6 lovers will try it and then bitch how it's not like 1.6 at all and then move back to 1.6 again......... currently a 9 year 4 month and 20 days old game. It's sad really.
 
But u cant says its going to be a flop.. because is not even in Beta yet.
 
I've never enjoyed a game as much as good old Counter Strike LAN sessions. Let's hope this will live up to expectations!

Not really sad. Why is it sad to stay with a game thats perfect for competetion levels?
Its like saying, no you must play CnC instead of starcraft cause its old, yet SC is prob still one of the biggest games.

That's what I thought as well, but when you listen to the "competative" players there's apparently a difference like night and day.

Altho, I think they were playing CSS at the official comp during last years rAge. So maybe it's not so much an issue anymore. But then have a look at the OP.

Yeah I guess. To be honest it's my problem. I can't play an online game for too long before it gets old for me. If a person can enjoy playing the same game competatively for 9 years then good for you. I sure as hell can't. :eek:

There are actually hit boxes. It wasn't easy for some person who has never playd the game before to be one of the best. Source maps are horribly lit. Why have trash cans on the floor to make noise and just irritate you?
Trying to pin point exactly where an enemy is using sound in source compared to 1.6 is freaking impossible because of **** coding.

i dunno maybe i just despise source because i was one of those "1.6 is the only way" type people but as a truly competitive game it is terrible, especially as the successor to 1.6
