So...I was on my way to buy a new remote control for my Dstv on Saturday, when I happened to see this baby and fall in love with her.

Totally immaculate and the right price.

She is now sitting in my garage at home :D

Specs? Apart from the fact that she's my 71 st car and my seventh Jetta, but my first diesel - although my sister has a 14 year old one that is brilliant. The first thing that impressed me was the fact that it was like getting into a new car on the showroom floor, no sagging seats or nasties of any sort two owners - first one did big mileage, so it was on the road all the time, second one has simply babied her, just as I am going to do. FSH and cam belt change 3 months ago. :)

How come you dont stick with some cars for at least even 1 year?

The number of Suds I am impressed by.....on the other side of the spectrum... the Audi 400 must've been priced real good ...:p

They were fantastic little cars - I was at the world launch at Earls Court in 1973, and got one of the first ones in SA when I got back, and then kept buying them, because they were such fun to drive - handling knocked spots off anything available at the time.
The Audi, strangely enough, was one of the nicest cars I have ever driven - brilliant consumption, comfortable as hell, and performance was amazingly good. :)
 
After that horrible Jetta 4 Tdi I had, I'll probably never by a VW again! :mad:
/goes back to fixing my Series 3 Land Rover :p
 
You went to the shop to buy a tv remote and came back with a car, what did the wife say? :D
