Number portability may benefit only contract subscribers

I'm not sure it's fair to compare a survey done in the US with our market. If I could have a plan of 600 peak minutes with unlimited nights and weekends all for $40 I would not be chopping at the bit for competition to increase...

True. But didn't they get to this situation due to competition?

Indeed, but they had competition before they had number portability, so attractive packages were already available.

Number portability was therefore, in my opinion, much less of a driving force for competition and if that is the case then the comparison is not worth much.

Well it's ludicrous that this should only benefit post-payers - there is no good technichal reason why pre-paid users shouldn't have NP available to them.
