Or enforce a "Virgin" no contract, no phone option.

I guess the idea is that the SP has to offer better packages to all it's customers. If they just enticed back leaving customers, then their loyal customers are getting a raw deal.

They are already going to offer the "Virgin" options , They need to come in line with our European counterparts as far as deals are concerned .We pay more than first world countries for calls , and are offered third world deals .

It’s inevitable, NMP is going to bring something that's long overdue, - Better service, and better everything overall

If you want to go to Vodacom, you can leave your details on their website & they will then get back to you when MNP is available. Whether there will be any incentives is another question.

i didnt find that anywhere....???

I find the fact that you have to pay out your full contract for something you dont recieve dodgy....

<example>
i am in month 2 of my contract and pay 500 bucks a month...
that means i must pay 11 grand to get out of my contract.. and MTN with cancel my access to there netowrk and i loose 4840 free minutes..
</example>

Does anyone see the problem with this... if i am not using mtns network and don't have acces to it.. why am i paying them 11 grand for the 22months when i cant use there network ??

Well if they enforce the virgin-no phone rule, almost nobody will have a contract... personally i only have a contract for the "free" phone i get.... without the free phone, alot of ppl wont have contracts anymore.

Read your contract. You agreed to those terms when you signed it.

I've not renewed my contract because MNP was announced almost two years ago now. So now I'm on month-to-month till MNP comes out and then I'll move (if I want to), however I've been very happy with MTN so far (except for their voicemail blunder).

suggestion, if you're with MTNSP, downgrade after month 3 of your contract.

downgrade to something like a SMS only (35 bucks), and you can get out for the 21 months at R35/m?
there's a cost to downgrade (the difference in the payout MTN makes between the contracts) but it's cheaper than just cancelling.
