I was wondering if anyone at MTN can help me.

I signed up for a new contract and received my sim and number. I then requested the number to be changed to my pre-paid number. This morning my phone says SIM not provisioned: 2. I phoned 808 and they just tell me that my number has been deactivated and they cannot help me.

Does anyone know what I should do from here?

1) Buy a starter pack from Cell C, Virgin or Vodacom
2) Never look back.

Remember, they are not called eMpTy oNe for nothing...

MTN's systems is messed up my cuzz works in their 808 department and he says he wont take out a contract there...........everything is messed up big time.......so I guess ur better off without MTN rather pay the extra cheese and go to Vodacom..........

I have to agree here

MTN support is absolutely shocking. I actually cancelled our corporate account with them because I felt like a tennis ball being passed from help desk to help desk and no one could help me.

That was for a corporate account i can just imagine an individual trying to get something out of those guys

I suggest porting your pre paid number to vodacom. Don't bother with Cellc they have really bad coverage my wife is with them at the mo and the call disconnects she has and the amount of times I cannot get hold of her is nuts

Vodacom is the way to go

I am not saying they are perfect but they are better than the rest

Cheers
