I really hope this is not your "average" Windows Phone 8 user. :wtf:

Mind you, might explain the lack of proper apps.

I know you don't realize this, but you don't need to attack WP users/WP in every post you make. I promise.

Apps, apps, apps. I've got a feeling this is the only point of any value you have against WinPhone.

But, the fact is. What do I do with 25,000 WP8 apps. Shoot I only need 12 of the 46 top apps out of the 50 most popular apps in the smartphone world.

I really don't buy smartphones for apps. Just the basics, you know. Make phone calls, browse the Internet, edit Microsoft Office documents and other cool stuff like Facebook, Twitter and listen to musics. Oh, and take high quality pics wherever I am. No matter what type of lighting conditions.

This app story is really tired now. Try something else.

P.S.

If you haven't tested a Windows 8 tablet yet, I suggest you read this extensive review and go test it as soon as possible. It's the only way for you to understand how big this paradigm shift is for Microsoft. It has eventually, a really cool customer product that is even more innovative and fluid than Apple's iOS.

I didn't say it.

Hear, hear! I fully agree. It makes me want to puke when it is the only reason offered for one OS being better or another being inferior. The majority of the apps many freak over merely do what you are capable of doing via any web browser anyway but they will still brag about having thousands of apps. I recently made a move to Android and spend a fair while looking through the play store and always come to the conclusion that most of what you find there is crap. The real useful apps are few and far between.

A further reality is even when you have 100s of apps loaded on your phone there are probably less than 10, at an absolute push, that you use regularly.

Once again I blame Apple for the app crap. I really do dislike the world they have created.

But there are a lot of apps which are brilliant & the reason for owning a smartphone.

Sounds like sour grapes to me if you blast the quantity & quality of an app store, of which windows phone 8 has got neither. :p

You wisely did not direct your comment at any one poster but if it was aimed at me in any way then read again and read slowly... I am using an Android device.

Jessy is at it again... Beauty? Tight contest but no looser

I have to admit. I love this woman (just a tinge less than my wife).

The only thing stopping her from using gloves is the fact that the phone (and herself) are pure heat. Alright, it was indoors.

But, what a sight.

Full story here.

Actually the quality of a majority of apps is really good. MS has great guidelines and tools to help that. Every platform has crap, but that's nothing at all to do with the platform. It is to do with people and certification - only one of which can be controlled.
From trying to find descent apps on my Android tablet, I can say without a doubt that I would rather be on the Windows Platform. That may just be because of how the marketplace app is designed and what it promotes.

Ok, maybe it's gonna get better, but one or two viruses, and it's all over.

Microsoft was quick to point out how malware ridden the Google Play store is, but it's only because there is no decent apps in their own store.

But wait for it....cos the first time I went to Windows Phone Market, I just got greeted by softcore and sleazy porn apps. Pure quality. :wtf:

And that's the ugly truth folks. Deal with it.

Kingrob is right.

Fart apps for Android : 2164
Fart apps for Windows Phone : 47

It's perfectly understandable why some people prefer Android.

She looks ok, but I've seen much better in Cape Town.

Not all beauties in CTN own WP8 devices (i.e. Nokia Lumia 920 to be more specific - that is a big turn on for me on any woman). In fact, I doubt if the hotties in CTN even know about WP8 or the 920.

Nokia does have a lot of work to do. It needs to do more to make those women more attractive. Beauty inside (Jessica thinks WP8) and out (she owns a WP8 device). Thats where CTN beauties flounder.

So, the Surface ad soundtrack is now my ringtone on my Nokia.

Exactly. The Google Play store also needs some cleaning out. It's mostly full of useless junk, and for every app there's a thousand others that do the same thing.
