Nvidia Geforce 3D vision

You need a 120 hz lcd for it to work properly , and it only works well with some games . But if you got the cash lying around i dont see why not , its quite realistic in some cases iv been told

in my opinion rather wait. this is still very new so there only a limited amount of games. also i heard its super pricy. i'd rather wait a couple of months for the price to come down:)

first i heard of this! looks pretty fun. mirrors edge could get a little scary with all that high building jumps... got the money then go for it. just make sure you have the requirements.

After watching Avatar in 3D I just absolutely have to have a setup like this. Anyone using it on their system at the moment?

Id be keen to see how it looks.
Not sure if I would like it to be honest.
I get a headache playing games in 2d never mind 3d :O

lol, I hate 3D, get sick, dizzy, headaches, vertigo etc... but it usually goes away after an hour :p. However, wait for two things (this is my advice):

1st: Wait for the Technology to mature. It's almost a given that AMD won't want to be foiled by the Evil Nivida, and will come up with their own 3D... Also, the tech needs to mature, some games apparently look funny and the shapes distort slightly with the 3D. A couple more updates will mean more support for games and everything will be sweet :D.

2nd: It's farking expensive dude . I would mind having it, but wow, the monitor itself is a freaking home loan, and the "kit" itself is also very pricey... So I suggest you wait...

are they "faking" polarized images by simply upping the Hz and being able to squeeze in close-to-simultaneous frames but with them being polarized or is there something specific about the LCD panels?

All I know is that it needs a refresh rate of 120 because anything lower than that has a slight flicker that leads to headaches and sometimes nausea.

Overall the reviews look good. People play for hours without feeling bad which was my main concern. Some games will definitely look crappy.

I shall wait till end of January to see if I can get a certified samsung or viewsonic screen from local retailers. If not I will order on the nvidia site.
