nVidia SLI cable - where to buy?

I bought 2 identical PCI-e graphics cards for my wife's PC, as I wanted to run them in SLI - problem is that there is no SLI connector bridge included - where could I buy one locally - I have checked google, but they don't seem to exist seperately, and I have no idea what they look like.

Any ideas?

The only thing I can find is this - is this what I need?

yep, i think that's the one if i'm not wrong. (anyone correct me if i am wrong)
 
Does your wife's pc's motherboard even support sli?? The sli connector is suppose to come with the mobo.
 
It's a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP SLI and should support this - but there was no bridge in the retail box...

Managed to find this on on eBay, which should work according to the info I've read? The mobo has a PCI-e in between the 2 graphics slots, which are 5cm apart from end to end...

I had a Gigabyte K8N-SLI - it came with bridge in the box.
I'm now running an ASUS board - one thing I did note though, was that the gap between the cards on the Asus board is a lot wider than on the gigabyte, so the hard pcboard type bridge supplied with the gigabyte boards wouldn't work as it would have been too short.

The flexy type bridge as linked in post #1 is what you get with the Asus boards. The pic linked in post #6 is the type that I got with my Gigabyte board.

I had an Asus P5N32-SLI Deluxe and used a Gigabyte bridge. Guess you get different sizes.
 
The cable you get with the motherboard depends on whether it supports intel or AMD. For an intel motherboard, it sends you an SLI bridge, but an AMD board comes with a Crossfire bridge.

Can I ask why you chose to buy 2 cards instead of one stronger card for the price of the 2?

At the time, in January 2008, I got a very good deal with two 7600GS GPU's, and it worked out much cheaper than buying a stronger one... :)

I did eventually manage to get an SLI bridge for GBP 0.99 in the UK - works very well.

This thread is over 15 months old, so it's not applicable to me any more, but may be helpful for others.

Well I guess that makes sense. I ask coz lately there are a lot of people going for SLI or Xfire when one card would be better.

Sorry about necro, I didn't notice the dates.
