Nvidia unveils GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Never trust the wootware discounts, it's like Takealots :)

i dont buy or browse there that often to notice something like that.

but the 3070s were around 15k, showed in articles on mybb as well.

Yeah I think those were earlier adopter fees :-)

Finally a decent replacement for my 1070, although obviously you can't buy it anywhere in the world.

And yes, still stupid expensive for a mid range card. I was hoping that AMD would lead Nvidia to cut prices, but obviously that didn't happen.

Probably not going to replace my card until Q2 2021 in any case, by which time AMD should have released their 6700 or whatever.

I was looking at getting the RTX 3070, but if I can get a RTX 3060 Ti for about R10K thats even better (whenever they are in stock). Pity we don't get the founders editions here. They look way better than the 3rd party cards.

Likewise.

Wootware does have stock at present, but rather wait till next year. Prices will eventually drop a bit, hopefully some will be priced R8500 to R10k by then. My 1070 has served me well, but its time for an upgrade as my card is now more than 3 years old already.

I'm going to stick with Nvidia, won't jump ship though, lol.
