Nvidia, My GTX 460 is at a constant 84C (when playing games, which I do a lot) for 4 years and no problems have emerged.

That's the other side of the coin. While I get more bang for my buck with AMD, I've also experienced more than a few issues with drivers. I never had driver issues with NVidia.

Currently have Nvidia but dont really care which one as it depends what cards are available when I upgrade.

Currently AMD are the best bang for buck from what I can see. Who knows, in a few months its Nvidia.

amd use to be cheaper but lately it seems to be changing.
Low end cards favor amd.
Mid to high range are favoring nvidia.

The 770 is alot cheaper than the R290 and both card are very close in terms of performance.

I've used both and i have had driver issues on both brands so my next card will be based on cost and performance.

I'm AMD + AMD because they usually have the best price/performance.

AMD is also a lot more open and less proprietary than competitors.

Amd/ati.
Performance and price of AMD/ATI is what freed me from the nvidia teat i was mindlessly suckling from before I built my own rig from scratch.
Ati cards did have driver issues in the beginning, but have not seen a "broken" or unstable Ati driver in a while.
Sold the rig, and now rock a AMD/ATI gaming laptop and not a single complaint.

Yup, it did, actually the brand name was only discontinued in late 2010.
