So I attempted to upgrade my wife's HP ProBook 450 G4 Notebook. According to the specification as per the linked HP site, it can use the "M.2 (NGFF) 2280 solid state drive". I purchased and tried to fit this NVME. It was slightly to big. The actual slot in the Notebook looks like this:
According to this, NVME vs M.2 SSD, the difference between is the notches, M.2 has the two notches vs NVME which has the 1 slot. Hence me purchasing the NVME.
The reason, I have not replaced the HDD with a normal SSD, is that I want to keep it and use it as storage.
Now I am thoroughly confused, as the specifications for the NVME I purchased indicates that it is a 2280 form factor.
Will something like this work?
I have subsequently sold the NVME drive.
