nzbsa

nzbsa is a pretty cool site. I can't compare it to the others mentioned 'cause I was never invited :(. But the community seems great- they offer to upload something you request. I haven't tested it out yet 'cause I'm still on blended but I'm not dreading getting capped later this month!
 
Limiting access to a server that lists what is cached is just plain stupid. The more people cache stuff the easier it is to pull in the end. So well done for limiting the amount of cachers you have.

I can say the same thing for newshost.

Unfortunately the quicker/more things get cached the quicker/more things get uncached, considering popular things like series are cached long before most people wake up there is realy no need for more people.

Your view is very short sighted.

Im quite sure I have been involved in news servers for longer than you have and know exactly how the dynamics of them work. but thanks for throwing your 2 cents in there.

TPB doesn't require registration. You just open the site, search for the torrent, download into your fav torrent software and off you go? :confused:

If you know the "dynamics of them" why make such a silly statement, you completely ignored half the facts in the caching process and you ignored the fact that increased users puts strain on the servers and causes degraded service.

The fact is that opening registrations would be great for people who don't currently have access but would not be good for the people currently using the local news servers.
 
What the "owners" of these sites really want, is for their "users" to collect and upload nzb's to the site, and never actually download anything from the newservers after the image has been cache. In other words, they want to users to cache the file for them and then back off and allow them to have full access to the server, with no load on it.

Isn't that correct ? Be honest

The only thing said service does is let you know what is cached at that point in time.

Are you suggesting downloading and browsing through tons of header files? It works, I suppose but there are easier ways
 
Why are so many people so critical about the site? Being childish just because you cant get to join yet another secret club? Seriously people grow up, this site is good for beginners, there is no unimaginable pressure to upload and everyone that asks for help gets it. Sure it has its share of leeches but no one can control that. So you showed up late for the limited sign-ups so what, though luck buddy move along. Its not a huge site and thus cannot cope with 1000'nds and 1000'nds of leeches end of story. Just admit it will ya u lot whiners if u got in you would NEVER give back to the community at all. To hell with the lot of ya you're not needed.:mad:

Thats the problem with these types of sites. They promote an elitist attitude.
Its like all the kids who were picked on in school went and started their own cool club.
I was a member of both bitfarm and newshost a while back and those were exactly the same thing.
 
Yeah newshost is different bru, I quite like that one.
It was awesome a few years ago when no one knew about news servers.
Killa come spank some muster tonight dude, it should be good on urbs2.
