O/T: Disconnects

@ocleroux Thank you those people! they have a data offer that works out to R33 per Gig and faster than anything else (readily available) in south africa. If Vodacom or Mtn had those rights they would be charging a premium for those speeds (as they already do for their slower, faster speed 3G)

At the rate "those people" are rolling out their 4Gs (should actually be called 4Gv (v=value) network the other two will have to follow...

Hi

Can you please create a new thread for your query

I remember Vodacom and MTN saying something about them also being in the process of refarming 900 band to be used for 3G connectivety at the mybb conference. They did not provide details though as to where, how and when. I could be wrong. I was watching it late at night on TV and I might have been in a sleep depraved hallucinagenic state by then! :-)

Out of curiosity. Lets say you are on a network that uses 900 band for 3G service. U have a phone that also supports this and you make a phone call while the phone is on the 3G of 900mhz. Does your voice call then get connected using the 3G 900mhs band or does it switch you over to the 1800mhz channel for voice?
