Their South African website is terrible, doesn't even have SSL. Prices are a rip-off. If you shop around you can get much lower prices for exactly the same products.
 
Agreed, the SA website needs to be more in line with the European site.

Rip off prices? This is the web shop for Poynting themselves, it's not a third party web shop. Which place is selling their products cheaper?

Most of the products they are selling are not their own products. They are reselling products from other vendors. E.g. all the Mikrotik routers, the TP-Link routers, the meters, the connectors, aluminium poles, etc. In fact the only thing I can see that is their own product is the actual antennas themselves, and these you can get equivalents for from other vendors for 2/3 of the price. There's nothing special about Poynting antennas.
 
As you were. The thread topic is quite clear. Of course you're welcome to buy BoB antennas. And no, they're not equivalents. :)

Why what? Deweyzeph is getting all excitable about *other* products they sell as well as antennas. I don't care about that.

This topic was created to discuss their antenna solutions. If people have an agenda with Poynting, kindly address it elsewhere.

Other vendors only sell nasty 7-13dBi omni antennas. Not XPOL. Not LPDA. Nor the rest. And yes, IMHO Poynting antennas are quite special.

I prefer AlanDick... There is many LDPA offerings in Europe. I didn't want to interrupt this thread, it can be main subject, no problem, but you shouldn't bring down other opinion on the basis of ideology.
BTW, You didn't say why Poynting antennas are so special.
