A friend of mind is a high functioning aspie, I do share similarities. I score fairly high on the autism scale (online) which probably means very little.

I was diagnosed with ADD at a young age.

Your obsessions sound a bit like mine, I am perhaps more selective
 
many nights when I go to sleep, I start to get these obsessive thoughts about life that stresses me out.. I would think about the safety of loved ones and get these "what if" scenarios. I would worry that I am here at my place and not there able to protect them... it sounds crazy...

Recently I have been obsessing about my future and finding a career to grow in... and that my life is not moving in the direction I thought it would.

During the day, like now I am fine, but as soon as I go to bed at night and the lights are out... I have these thoughts before struggling to fall asleep.

Any thoughts on this?

Happened all the time for me for like 4 years or so. No idea how or when it stopped

Would it qualify as an obsession if rename files and folders when they aren’t typed in sentence case?
 
Oh great another thread that seemed to be a discussion on something decent, now turning into a completely off topic party for gay people..
