Hi There...

I am sitting with this strange problem. I have updated the MS Access database which the website is using which stores contact info of people working in certain departments. Now. After I have uploaded the new DB I started getting this error:

Code:
Provider error '80004005'

Unspecified error

/pages/sites/Tweefontein/tso_tellist.asp, line 9

And it is not only on this one page, but on all. The weird thing is, after a couple of minutes, I can access this page, but then afterwards, I get that error again.

I have restarted the IIS on the specific site, and have added the IUSR account with full access on the DB and local path of the website.

Any other suggestions as this intranet can't really stand still for too long...

Thanx in advance...

I have also "Compact & Repair" the DB, recreated the ODBC, and even checked the source code of this intranet... NO LUCK...!

i had this error long ago, and rembering it was quite a mission to fix it. unfortunely i cant recall what fixed it :(

No prob...

Its actually so stupid how it worked and just suddenly it doesn't work. The thing is that the server is also a dedicated web server, so no one is doing work nor does any apps work excessively so that a DLL could have been overwritten, or something like that...

I have tried so much stuff now already, and can't seem to get the peice of cr@p to work...!!!

But anyways - thanx for your input on this matter Necuno...

I have taken the risk and restarted our intranet server... It seemed to solve the problem...

Thanx guys...
