So, we were watching a tv series this morning. Via HDMI. And the volume on the tv just decreased to 0. Like someone turned down the volume with the remote. So, as pragmatic I am, the first thing was perhaps someone else in my complex remote control is impacting our remote. Covered the sensor on the tv. Nope. Not that. So I tried other channels and it is doing the same. It happens randomly. I check the volume button on the side if it is stuck. Nope. Not that either.

I've tried to reset the tv. Got it right to reset. Then it was fine 5 minutes and it started again

It is the LA**** model made in 2009. Anyone else had this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?

Maybe the memory cell is deteriorating after being modified too many times? Many of these storage technologies have a finite number of write cycles before they fail.

I had the same issue on my samsung but with channels changing. I opened up the TV, disconnected the cable connecting the side button panel and voila, no more issue.

I have never, ever used the speakers in my Samsung. They're horrid. :D Then again, I never touch the TV or the remote also. Universal remote ftw.
