Oettinger Scirocco!

SOmething is making the car look too busy, but it could be the picture that gives me that impression. I'll have to see it live in the mix ...

I like that, very streamlined, but not for our South African roads that bumper wouldn't last very long.

That bumper won't even make it into my garage. I can't decide if I like the look or not....

I just like the fact that the potential is there, like it is most cars this just looks the biz!! This doesnt have xenons for some reason:p

Ja. Scirroco has always been a sexy beast with aftermarket conversion. I took a 1988 Scirroco, back in the day and added a Callaway twin turbo with nitrous and the bodywork/wheels/suspension was done by a German aftermarket tuning company. Then I threw in some award winning sound and deafened myself in the process... Got 250 horses from that baby. It was featured in a US magazine called VW & Porsche and it kicked ass until one fine day it just billowed white smoke and the engine was in pieces all over the road.:o

Im very curious to know what was this 'award winning' car audio ?

From what I can remember it was an Alpine system with the amps and the speakers box taking up the entire rear seat and boot area, installed by Rolling Thunder in California. Sound pressure was just off the scale. Car went to many California sound-offs and garnered a bunch of trophies. The photos are in the 1989 issue of VW & Porsche Magazine (now renamed European Car) The Plates the car had at the time were 2FAST4U after people complained about the original plates which were 666

Did you compete in SQ or SPL ?

HEY DJK i can imagine you in such a car!!

Although its very nice,

@catch21 the background is making it busy, VERY stupid to take it with that kind of background.

Yummy - but it will have to wait Peder. My next car is the Jaguar XF - this can be my play thing when I have some spar dosh lying around...

XF is a "family" car right?

probably :)

Remove the badge, add the xenon's, I prefer the Audi style mirrors, white roof off course silver mags. Oooh Yum!!
I hope I can afford one next year this time!

It is a saloon, yes - but it would still be a fun car to drive - I love gadgets and the XF is full of them - yes, more to go wrong, but it appeals to me more than this VW does - aesthetically at least...
