I posted a info request earlier and thought it prudent to post this regarding Centurion and Pretoria for interest sake:
Off the Beaten Path Activities in Jozi
Rhino Lion Park is a hit if you have folks visiting for the weekend. Have a braai there over a couple of cold beers. Kids are nicely catered for at the play park. Phone ahead to find out feeding times for the lions.
Hartebeespoort Chameleon Village - if you are looking for a nice Indian meal head over to the restaurant at the middle of the eating area. Food is great and cheap. Don't worry about no alcohol appearing on the menu - they will sort you out.
Hartebeespoort: If African Art is your thing, forget teh flea markets there and head over to the warehouse (forget it name - Something like African Crafts Center) about 30m away fro teh Chameleon Village. Prices are fixed and reasonable. If you nice, you will get a further discount on the total price.
Will update as I have more time.
Cheers
