3 months and 1 week currently, the deceased estate portion on the sellers side delayed the process by almost a month
oh damn and here I was feeling relief because I need our process to take 3 months
you must be so relieved you’re almost at the end
Lucky you,Yeah the last few weeks were a pain, my tracker wasnt updated for 4 weeks and some change saying "awaiting deed from seller". At the beginning of Nov I started sitting on the attorneys heads pushing for lodgement before the end of Nov.
According to the attorney the title of the house was put on the sellers name mid-Oct, so from then till 20th Nov no one could tell me where the original deed was. Eventually the deed showed up at the sellers attorneys office and my transfer got lodged the next morning
Which municipality? We signed today and the lawyers said because of the huge backlog at the council our stuff is likely to only get lodged and registered next year Jan / Feb

Cheers and congrats....And got the great news today : “its registered”!
The longest 5 months in my life! Every possible thing could and went wrong (lol)! All on the sellers side!
Well, cheers!!!![]()
If we register on 12 Dec, will the debit order go off at end of December?
If we register on 17 Dec, will the debit order go off at end of January?
So, any sellers/potential sellers in the Joburg area who are looking for a conveyancer who does things right and keeps you updated, I can thoroughly recommend ours.I'm more shocked that your transfer attorney shares information and updates you, but yeah that is really quick
