Microsoft periodically assesses the impact of its local pricing to ensure there is a reasonable alignment with the needs of customers, partners, and the marketplace, and may make changes in response to its assessment and feedback.
Effective March 4, 2014, prices for Office 365 online services priced in the South African Rand sold under Microsoft Online Subscription Program (MOSP) will increase by 22 percent to closely align with prices in most markets. Revised prices are applicable to new and renewing subscribers who purchase these services in the South African Rand directly from Microsoft.
For Office 365 Small Business or Small Business Premium customers on “month-to-month” subscriptions, your March invoice will reflect a higher price. To avoid a price increase, you may lock in current prices for another year by purchasing an Office 365 annual plan prior to March 1, 2014. Customers may purchase a Small Business annual plan by going to the “Purchase and Manage Licenses” section of their Administration console and then cancel their monthly subscription.
Current customers who purchased under an annual commitment offer via MOSP or Enterprise Agreement have price protection on their previously ordered service, and will not experience a price increase during the term of their agreement. Starting March 4, 2014, new or renewing orders for Office 365 services will be priced at the new price.
