Hey guys I'm a bit confused with HTC Sense, I've seen on some phones in the People application, you can scroll through the bar at the bottom and get to their Facebook and Flickr accounts, etc.
However, on my phone I have all my regular phone contacts completely separate to my facebook contacts.

In "People", when i say display all, it only shows my normal phone contacts, then I have to scroll to the internet tab to see Facebook, etc.
My phone contacts are on my sim if that makes a difference. How can I add Facebook details to my regular contacts?

Go to People > view then select facebook. Provided you have added a facebook account.

I dont think you can add facebook "details" to your regular contacts which are already on your phone.

I have the same problem. I want my contacts to sync with facebook too pull their details only.

By syncing the phone with Facebook (done from the main settings menu) All facebook contacts will pull through. Not just the details for the ones you already have on the phone. Subsequently, when you click the phone button, and facebook contact with a phone number will display there too.

You can link your contacts with the facebook contacts though.

Its all a bit confusing. I dont particularly like it.
 
THought that everyone here would be very interested in this.

I haven't bought any apps yet, but there are suddenly lots of paid apps in my market and I've gotten as far as the google checkout screen without any problems.

That app doesn't work for me. Every time I try to fake an operator I get a "We've got a problem Housten :(" error :(
 
I tried all of them. Busy restarting my phone now to give it another bash.
 
That's odd. Pity. Guess I'm going to have to find an app worth buying to test if it works properly.
 
I tried it and it works for me, except I can only see paid apps in the featured section, when I select all games I only have a choice between top free or just added. Any ideas on how to fix that? Isn't there supposed to be a top paid tab aswell? BTW I used t-mobile(nl).

The sense UI update for the HTC magic has been released.

Just go to leaf.co.za and download the new ruu firmware updater and it will install the sense ui on the phone.

it is AWESOME! :)

I'm not sure, I've never seen the proper market. Are the comments in your market all dutch now :P There are also paid apps when you search for something. At least there is actual access though.

I wonder why it doesnt work for some people. Maybe it's a network thing. I'm on VC, you guys?
 
Lol... no still english. Im on virgin mobile, so doubt it depends on network.

...you did buy yours directly from Leaf (lab88) though, didn't you? I don't know if I'm comfortable with rooting until there's a failsafe way to undo it. If all else fails, I'll spend the weekend trying to get the market running on the SDK... :twisted:
 
Nope, got it on vodacom contract. I just dont use the vc sim card. The better half uses it. As far as rooting goes, im quite happy at the moment. Especialy if froy gets released soon(we hope).

Then it's got to be the Virgin simcard... I know you can access the paid market as well if you pop in a UK/US/etc. sim.
 
I cant access it without the market enabler though... but maybe could be the sim. Then there is actaully ONE good thing about vm... :-)

I'm on Vodacom though, and also see the paid apps now. Maybe it's just MTN that it doesnt work? Or maybe it's because it was bought off a vodacom contract and one of their settings is different from MTN's?
