Because everyone knows that RoS supports camping and tubing - it gets stated so often, you obviously just don't venture out of your comfort zone where people who complain get silenced. No attacking or further criticising, simply stating the facts. I asked earlier for the names of other clans who support camping and tubing, I'm still waiting. I don't suppose you could help me out? Doubt it.

The point is, RIG or whoever else isn't promoting the use of tubes/camping, and so there aren't a large number of users tubing/camping in unison. Until you understand how tubers/campers ruin the game, and even more so when there is a group mentality where a clan promotes it and its members do it a lot, you simply won't understand.

For the record, Slaughter told me himself that he has received a lot of complaints of excessive camping. I suppose all those complainers are just crybaby whiners too. At least he finally did something about last stand, I guess. Took a long time though so I can only presume it took a long time for them to realise the logic behind hating last stand.
 
Ok, this will be my last thoughts on this matter.

I have seen that IRF and DOG don't allow 2nd Chance on their servers as well, but say nothing about tubing. There is no policy among RoS players to tube or to camp, it is the way that some of them play, and since they do it on their server, I don't see any harm. The RoS server is usually active till late, if people were offended by the tubing/camping and no 2nd Chance policy, they wouldn't have played there.

I seldom tube and quite frankly I am just to restless to camp. So I am defending actions here that I don't even use myself.

I only compared sniping to camping/tubing as an example of how everyone have something they dislike. In most cases however, you will find snipers are usually campers, although there are some snipers who relocate often, making the game interesting.(Funny though, I don't have a big problem with snipers in Black Ops)

The tube is a legitimate weapon and therefore should be accepted as such. It seems to me when all the Counter-Strike players started to play COD4 they decided to hate the tube and it just snowballed from there, even though the tube is not that powerful in Black Ops. And in all fairness, the 2nd chance perk should be regarded the same.
However, on your own server you should feel free to implement restrictions that will make you happy. Some servers have a clear rule about tubing/camping and that is fine. Some have a rule against 2nd Chance, and that is fine too. When I play on a clan server, I follow their rules, I don't complain about it.

Now, I probably shouldn't have used petty insults in my posts, it is not helping anything. I just get frustrated when people keep on hammer on tubing/camping and claiming how it ruins the game. Like I said, although the RoS server allows these actions, it is still very active. Sure people complain and go play on another server, but there are always others who takes their place.

I am no longer a member of RoS as a direct result of this argument. If a senior member of the clan do not stick up for his clan mates, then I just don't see the point of staying in that clan. These guys have played this way since the beginning of time, it is how they play the game. To get upset now and try to change it just because of one disgruntled voice on a forum, well I do not approve. However, I have nothing against anyone in RoS and will hopefully play with them until the end of time, I had many laughs in my short time as a member, they really are a friendly bunch of nice guys. I just don't like the direction they are going in now.

I have nothing against you PostmanPot, and would like to play with you. Feel free to add me as a Steam friend (RaFi096). Then we can go hunt campers together, dodge the tubes and get them on the reload.

We will never see eye to eye on the matter of tubing/camping, but that is no reason not to play together.

Postman - that is the way it is and the way it will stay. RoS is a friendly bunch of guys as Rafi said. Get over your hangup of campers/tubers and come join us for a game or two.

Rafi - I have always and will always stick up for anyone in our clan. That is the main reason why this whole debate got a bit heated. I do not like it if anyone bad mouths anyone in our clan. Period. You can ask Hydr@, Corner or Radeon - if you take on one of us you take on all of us. It's been like that since the clan formed. I regret your decision to leave the clan, I think you could have been a valuable member with your attributes. Let's hope you reconsider.

Which RoS members were attacked?

Anyway, besides the point. Excessive camping and tubing sucks, and RoS members are unfortunately particularly guilty of it.
 
No one was attacked but the first mention of kill farming and those guilty of it take offence and go on the offensive ...... happens always and will always happen.
 
As ROS members stated they dont care what either of you think about how they choose to play the game.
 
Ai - Yes it was dxp this weekend, but it does not really help THAT much... I did manage to jump more than 10 levels in one session though! :)

Went from lvl 32 - 46 in one afternoon... ;)
 
Anyone else think that the CoD:BO servers are biased? What I mean is, sometimes I play and it feels like everyone else is playing in molasses. Most times though it feels like I'm the one at the disadvantage. Often getting shot by someone standing right in front of me, but I have not seen them - or rather: they saw me, reacted and shot before my game even rendered them on my screen.

I played CoD:WaW long enough to notice how the server would favour players during a game. I'm getting the feeling that the same is true for BO. It is great if I'm the one having a good game! People blame 'lag' for most of the 'unfair' games, but I'm considering that it could be a badly designed server engine.

Or maybe the server bias is dependent on having an extreme gaming setup and living near the servers?

It is just badly designed game, mate. This game has so many bugs I reckon it damaged Tryarch's reputation like nobody's business...
 
Used L96A1 (?) sniper the whole weekend, so much fun! Been trying to get my speed up with it. My k/d suffered a bit but when you get it right it's so rewarding, it's my new favorite thing.

I've been playing with it lately as well, but after a couple of rounds, when I am tired of getting my a$$ whipped on small maps, I give in and go back to the other guns. :D Have to agree, it's more rewarding, even if you only get 1 or 2 kills the entire map, getting kills with that sniper than with the other guns.

Next, try the M16 as well. Burst fire and pretty high damage. To keep the game interesting, I would say, play with the L96A1 > M16 > knife only > other guns.

Yeah only certain maps are sniper friendly. I do tend to switch to a more regular gun when I notice I'm like 1/10.. just to get my K/D to a more respectable level on the final score sheet.
M16 is fun, on non HC it pretty much guarantees a kill no matter where you hit the guy, more than one guy though and you probably going to die.
