Easy Postman - tube them and camp them back...

And this is the exact mentality which promotes players doing what they want; camping and tubing and ruining it for others who play properly with normal weapons and normal movement.

People and clans only thinking about themselves. Selfish.

Maybe you truly will only understand when everyone is immaturely and childishly retaliating to existing immaturity and childishness by camping and tubing back at campers and tubers. The game will be completely ruined. But you will understand the point.

I guess this attitude is why the world is so fscked.

If only there was a little respect, people thought about it a little more, and made exceptions.

PostmanPot, tell me who gives you the right to tell other people how to play to accommodate your own uselessness? Are you so pathetic, you have to cry like a girl when faced with a stationary opponent, you can't even figure out how to overcome the situation. The best you can do is complain in game, complain on the forums, complain with your little circle jerk fiends who are exactly as pathetic as you and therefore will agree to everything you have to say. You have to complain about a weapon attachments that has only two shots anyway, its no different from all the other guns/perks/killstreaks in the game. Yet you have to carry on like a beach about it all the time.

The only place where you have a right to implement rules will be on your own server, if you have one please invite me and I will gladly play with you according to your rules. When you play on another server, you will play by their rules.

Have you ever heard a camper complain about rushers? I haven't ever seen that, so why must it work the other way around only?

There are hundreds of servers to play on. If the one you are on isn't what you like, you can leave... I have never seen an admin who said if you leave I will ban you! Lol.

Come on guys. Some people (like me) rush and camp. Someone once called me a spawn camper, so I said well bad luck I fragged you, stupid spawn rusher! Everyone on the server laughed at that guy. Why? Because he was complaining about something I was doing while he was doing the exact opposite... Who makes me or him right? I guess for that round I was right to mozy on around my spawn because the rusher wouldn't expect me to be stationary in my spawn waiting for him...

What really happened is that I alt-tabbed at the beginning of the round by mistake and as we all know, it takes a month to get back into the game when you alt-tab... So by the time I got back into the game, I was the last alive against 5... I took them all out (luckily) but they weren't impressed...

In any case, every game is going to have patient (campers) and impatient (rushers) people in it. If you can't figure out how to deal with them, try another server... If you still don't come right, give up gaming as you may suffer from a stroke

I'm not useless, and I can come 1st/2nd/3rd when I want to. I deal with campers perfectly well when I need to.

You say tubing is no different from other weapons. Lol. Tubing takes all the skill out. Players should be able to head shot/body shot without being able to simply fire a grenade within 5m of that head/body and end up killing 2 or more people. Ridiculous if you don't understand the logic.

It's 'cause you don't have any logic.
Tell me, do you use killstreaks? That's also a easy way of generating kills. So are a number of other things, but that is what makes this game different from, say, Counter-Strike.

You don't have any logic, just a silly argument and want to tell others how they can play the game so you don't suck so much. For me tubing is actually much more difficult than a gun, because the splash damage is not that big in Black Ops. However, crybaby players like yourself can't be bothered with it, you have decided, like all the other sheep, that tubing is baaaad, and now you feel that you are the champion of the no-tube brigade.
Play the game as is, don't try and chance it to something else. COD have included the Tube for along time now, and probably will include it in future releases. Deal with it or play something else.

The same goes with camping. It is a playing style, that is actually easy to eliminate, cause you know where the enemy will be. A grenade, a tube, even a nice little air strike will take care of that. However, it is a challenge and we all know that people like you hate a real challenge. Everyone hates something about the game, I for instance dislikes Snipers. But I don't make a big scene about it, I deal with it on my own.

But all this is just earthly things. There are people dying of hunger in Africa, the Chinese is oppressing Tibet, South Africa has a corrupt government, so on the scale of things, this little argument is petty and pointless.
PostmanPot, come play with us on the ROS server, chat to us in a friendly manner and you will find that ROS have friendly people who simply play to have fun.

That's the part of my post that you concentrate on. Tsk Tsk Tsk. It was a question, and if the answer is no, then disregard the question. But I suppose it struck a nerve with you.

The truth is that this argument will carry on to the day that the angel Gabriel blows the horn and its all done and over with. There is those who are "serious gamers", people who will chance a game simply to accommodate their gaming styles and then there are those who accept the game as is, and play it accordingly.

Everyone is allowed to play the way they want to. The nice thing about having a clan server is the fact that you can dictate what rules will be followed. Then the player can decide whether he/she is willing to accept that rules and play by them. If not, then there are other servers. But you do not have the right to criticize people just because you don't happen to like the way they play or challenge a clan with a direct attack just because you don't like their rules.

PostmanPot named ROS as his thorn in the side and voiced his opinion on a public forum. That is what sparked the argument. How would you like it if I call R.I.G. names and criticize it? I am sure I will be able to think of a few negative things to say, but whats the point?

Stop arguing, and come and play the game.

Lol, I'm old enough to not let things like name calling impact me ..... I just like to point out the immaturity of it in those that do. If everyone could live by that fave line "Stop xxxx and come play the game" and really mean it, there would be no immaturity and/or name calling.

People need to learn that to debate is cool, whether it's fiery or not. There's no point to storming in and calling people names, that just makes people look doff and serves to get people in a huff, so no objectives achieved.

I've heard people calling out, Gaymores, Gay Camper, Gay Stand, Ghost is gay, gay tuber, as well as a few others. I get the claymore one a lot. I even once heard "gayjacket" because I was using flak jacket and survived a rc car in my face only to get up and knife the guy(because I saw where the car came from).

Thing is, if this is such a gay game, why do these whining people play it lol. I'm pretty neutral, some things like last stand do annoy me, but I don't mind it overall. Everything is a trade off. A last stand user is not using Hacker (my favorite), so I see that as my advantage, because I plant claymores, and as long as they're using last stand, they're not seeing my claymores.

The same concept goes for picking the 2 shot tube, vs a far more handy extended mag - They kill me with a lucky shot of the tube sometimes - I'll kill them when they reload sometimes. Over all, all these "gay" perks/attachments don't give the guy THAT many extra kills. You don't see tubers with high KD's

The only REAL irritant to me is last stand in Hardcore.

The rest can all be countered fairly effectively.

Tubing is a relatively easy way to get a 1:1 KD, and it has a lot of tactical uses. I haven't used it much in black ops though, it might have been toned down slightly in damage/area. I just found it sad that the China Lake reload time was so excessive compared to the gun-mounted launcher, otherwise I would've used that more often. It would probably unbalance the game badly though.

Camping can be irritating especially if it's in cases where they effectively camp out near spawns, or behind you. Killcams do a nice job of negating the irritation, but those are sadly lacking in Hardcore

I haven't heard that before, but I understand what you are saying. However you simply cannot compare rushing to camping.

On that map with the big fountain in the middle and pool at the back, have you ever seen players camping up the stairs in that one building near the pool (building has a window that overlooks a fairly popular area/channel over from the fountain)? They stand on the balustrade of the stairs at the top and shoot you even before you reach the first step to go up. I was in a game where this player camped there the entire game and got 20+ kills just from that spot. Everyone kept going there to get him but it was literally impossible as when ever people threw grenades up the stairs or through the window towards the stairs, he would just run away and dodge the grenades.

My point is, how is this sort of play good for the game? And how is it comparable to rushing, something which is in lines with running around and actually not camping? Furthermore, besides my problem with campers (as people), what I am trying to explain is how this becomes a bigger problem when there is a group mentality (as a clan) that it is OK to do it, and more people start playing exactly like it. Do you understand the bigger problem that arises?

I understand. But I'm not going to not voice my opinion, I'm rather going to try and get people to understand my PoV so as to hopefully get more people to camp less and make the game better. Nothing will change if their bad habits aren't challenged. I could give you so many examples (like from SA's history and apartheid) to help get you to understand this.

I can't really reply to this because you are using the train of thought that using the opposite justifies the other. No one mentions rushers, and anyone who has a problem with them haven't thought things through properly.
