My point is that alcohol, going by statistics and other facts, would probably make people be even more aggressive and hostile towards [-]RoS[/-] tubers/campers. ;)
 
If you want to play on RoS you know what is going to happen then. :)

It is easier to prepare yourself if you know what you are in for. If I play against my teammies then I know what to expect and equip myself appropriately. We are on teamspeak so when I do get annoyed with them then I let them know! It is not something you can govern, really. Some of the guys have been playing that way since we started about 3 years ago - you can't get upset with them now???

just teasing u !! The ROS guys are tactical tubers and strategic campers! Its a style of play and works quite well!!! Radeon tubed me a good one last night, but not before I headshot his ass while his tube was in transit! U just need to adjust for the gameplay...

Camping is annoying and anti-competitive, period. 95% of people agree. It's totally logical and understandable.

Why not rather make the server for RoS members only if you are going to promote their bad habits? Or perhaps add to the console messages that "we are camp- and tube-friendly" so then people will stop constantly bemoaning the bad habits of your members?

Perhaps ban all guns and running around. Only allow camping and tubes. See how fun that will be... It's gonna be raining grenades.
 
Tubing is absolutely pointless for competitive play. Takes all the skill out. Players should be able to head shot/body shot without being able to simply fire a grenade within 5m of that head/body and end up killing 2 or more people. Ridiculous if you don't understand the logic.

Dude, it is simple? If you don't like it stay off of the server? Why complicate things with all kinds of messages that is pointless because people do whatever they feel like anyway.

If you don't like it don't visit.

You sound like one of those whiners who constantly bitch and moan because you can't rack up a decent kill streak. I don't camp or tube (well tube if there is a camper that I am unable to get hold of) and I rack up PLENTY kill streaks. Tubing is part of the game - as is camping. So simple then isn't it? Like it or leave it.

Has zip-squat-all to do with kill streaks. Could not care less about kill streaks or the fact that you don't cheat or abuse tubes or camping in HC (props for that).

Now try and respond to my point, which I consider extremely valid, without going on about kill streaks which have no relevance.

Maybe one day RoS will catch on as to how tubing and camping is not good for competitive play that is HC. Took them long enough to understand the fact about last stand and they finally banned it, I really hope they come to their senses and one day realise that camping and tubers are just as bad for the game.
 
I'm thinking of buying it from IC - on special. Will I have a major download before I can play?

What point? That it is "not good for competitive play"? Grow up if you want to play competitively then go do it on your own server or start gaming for a living. I am one of the founder members of RoS so if you would like "them" to consider something then you are talking to the right person - just in completely the wrong tone. We will play which ever way we feel like and if you don't like it then GTFO. Nobody asked you for your opinion or whether you think what is and what isn't good for "competitive" play. Whatever that is in your eyes.

I say again - if you don't like it then don't join on our server. Go play on Y!A or one of the 1000 other servers that are out there. We definitely don't need people whinging and moaning about trivial ***** the way you are doing right now. We play for FUN and if some guy's idea of fun is to tube someone then so be it. If a guy is precious about his K/D ratio then let him camp? As long as he isn't hacking or using last stand then fine by me.

Maybe one day you will catch on that it is actually just a game and people play it in different ways. And until such time as you pay for the games that I play online I would appreciate it if you do not try and dictate the way I play. I pay for my own games because I am all grown up now - so I will play them as I see fit, or what gives me pleasure.

At the end of the day, no one really cares what you or anyone else thinks. Like it, play it. Don't like it, don't play it.
If you really think it is so bad for competitive gaming, do your own league/server, and ban everything. Or even better yet, design your own game. And we can criticize your designs and gameplay.

Nobody has to catch on to anything, and that is the beauty of online gaming in blops. You as server owner can do what you want

Or get companies like Vivid to setup a drive in on one of the maps showing trailers of their latest releases!!! I can see Opfor and TF141 sitting side by side watching movies. It will put an end to all this fighting stuff.

Until some RoS bunny comes and tubes the drive in screen. Then all hell will break loose!
 
In the Hanoi map they have that projector screen in one of the rooms...... they can play a full vid on there, while playing........

So no fragging will take place there.......
