Official Black Ops Discussion Thread

I kept trying to join a S&D game with 14 people and kept getting told I'm the only player in the server.

Hey bud,

I am running a XFX GTX275 XXX at the moment :D I am also using Windows 7 x64.


Did the driver help?

Been hesitant to try it, but will give it a swing this afternoon.... alltho my gameplay has been pretty stable, but last night was not as smooth as yours when I spectated on you for a bit.... are you running that /no record in console?
 
Nope. Not running anything...Just a few config edits and the driver.

/no record?

Is that the same as /stoprecord

I will try that tonight.


There also seems to be a sound issue. Typing /snd_restart every maps helps.
 
I think it may. I was playing yesterday and I couldn't hear anything and I was wondering how are guys hearing me when I couldn't hear them. I remember read about /snd_restart on steam forums. I tried it out and it improved. So its a bug with the game. So yes, I could hear them! but obviously its no where near as good as Modern Warfare 2.

Ja thats what I was thinking about ... have not tried that at all ....

Everytime I start my game it tells me my system has changed ... do u guys get that ???


I have a weird bug I noticed... I run with Ninja pro, its silent when I run but u can hear my steps when I walk in crouch mode ?!?!

Is your config file Read Only? maybe it has something to do with that.

My mate has the same problem. He also does not know the cause.

This happen to me yesterday!!!! It was in that same game we where on yesterday on Hanoi...

Nah, even double checked it, not set to read only!!! Even if I say Yes and redo my settings, the next time I start, the warning is there again :(

LoL, I really miss CODMW2. Getting my G35s today, but would have loved to have them when we were still playing CODMW2. :D
 
The main reason why footsteps are softer is because of Ninja Pro. With Ninja Pro you can hear footsteps a LOT more clearly.

Give it a try anyway. Start a private game and fire the guns especially the AK47 <3 Pure awesomeness!

Well with Ninja Pro on black ops you can hear enemy footsteps louder. kind of like sitrep pro on mw2.

but that is still nonsense as when i watch the killcam i can hear the guys footsteps much louder. not impressed with the games sound. whats going to happen in promod where there is no ninja???

its a Mod, If guns etc. can be modified sound can be modified.
