I need some help. I'm new to steam, is there anyway to play single player without been connected to the internet?
My international is finished so I want to give the single player a go. When I try to start the game it launches steam, then when it can't connect it just shuts down without starting the game.

So how do you play single player without launching steam?

I swear today to never ever pay R500 for someone else's piece 'o shyt untested game!Between them and steam Call of duty's name is being dragged trough the mud!How wrong was I to think that I can just out and pay that much for a game and it will work...

Now that I've gotten over my noob rage,can anyone explain to me why this game lags like a bitch?This is the first piece of software I've seen use both my cores at full capacity while in an menu...

Put steam in Offline mode.. there's an option somewhere..

Also re the game... doesn't matter how much you moan, as the article said, Bobby Kotick is sipping his liquid gold from a diamond encrusted chalice up in his Moon Fortress... laughing at everyone.

I played a game with KK volklol this weekend .... dam, forgot how good the oke is... was embarrassing! I got irritated with BO this weekend, no play on most of Sat, just a little on Sunday (when it was finally working again). But somehow I seem to be slower than before. I checked my avg FPS is about 30 - 50. Not sure what I'm supposed to actually get (I have a GTX 280 OC'd ed, running a Q6600 @3.0ghz and 4gig Ram @1066mhz). Another thing is there is definitely a problem sharing a connection for two players. They only use the one port (3074) ....
 
Your pc should be fine. Like I said on the game last night, they didn't fix anything. I'm getting around 80 ping, but it spikes so much and get killed during those spikes. I don't think my mouse can take it any longer.

Maybe I should just play the single player for now. :(
 
I already broke my R900 headsets because I threw it on the desk when I lost my temper. Luckily my mouse has not felt the wrath yet...
