In Steam Go to Steam Settings Interface then in the middle check the box that says run steam when windows start

Here are some questions and answers on twitter do a PC DEV @ Treyarch. Most of the community questions are answered.
Q: Will we get the /connect and /reconnect commands in the next patch?
Treyarch
A: /connect is coming back. maybe not next patch but I promise it is coming back.
Q: Will the last killcam (End of the round) lag too fixed if the patch comes out?

A: TBH I’m not sure yet what is causing killcam choppiness, but we see it too. Will fix.
Q: Not asking specifics, but now that the game is launched, are mod tools ideas being kicked around yet? and congrats on the game!

A:Thanks, man. mod tool dev started already. no bandwidth to discuss until after some patches though.
Q: Will it be possible at some point to have servers with lower max player counts? 18 players in FFA games for example = too chaotic!

A: Will add 12 player playlists.
Q: Will it be possible to put reserved slots for my friends and me on my own ranked server again?

A:We removed the feature because it was abused. will fix.
Q: Are you aware of the bug where theater mode replays are only being saved on some servers? Mostly treyarch servers seem to work

A: Film recording should be fixed – this was a backend config problem for rented ranked servers only
Q: Have you thought about allowing editing of classes in a server?

A: We tried this but had a lot of problems due to the way the data is secured. had to bench the feature for future review.
Q: Hi, if i go into the server browser, sometimes i click on a server nothing happens, its not full etc but its just that nothing happen

A: This is a bug – highlight another server then double-click the one you want to join.
Q: Are there any engine optimisations coming I am above the min spec but still get awful fps in lowest settings, not lag related.

A: We have some nice optimizations for better FPS going into QA tomorrow.

Even in off line it doesn't work. When I start the game it launches steam and tries to update steam, which it can't because I don't have international. Then asks me if I want to start offline mode, I click yes, and steam just closes.
If anyone knows how to fix this please help?
Also if someone can try and run single player when offline so I can see if its just me or everyone.
Ja I know but I use BO friends list... I don't use the old one so often anymore, but I will have a look tonight.

Sometimes I want to play something else that does not require steam and then I get invites to games the whole time...
It is like guys sending me invites now from MW2 - can't you see I am not PLAYING MW2?? Then every 2 minutes you hear that gawd awful sound telling you you have an invite.... WTF?

LoL, no. It's like: Buy this cellphone and get the battery free. They can't really split it, but they can "advertise" it like that.
The funny thing is, you only see that if you are in the multiplayer menu.

i can tell you now everybody will just buy mp . singleplayer is to raped by now since its the same formula over and over again. tbh im still only on the second mission of sp but im lvl 28 in mp

I'm renting my own server atm. I wanted the 'change team' and 'call vote' options to be available, and also for the maps and game type to automatically rotate (although currently, using rcon, I can only choose 'team tactical' which rotates the maps but is not hardcore). I basically want the server to run like the SGS servers ran for COD4, with map and player kick voting, and auto map rotation. When I edit the config file it makes my server 'unranked' which leaves me stuck. Could anyone help with this or point me in the right directions? BTW my server is called 'The PhD Server' (The Public Hardcore Democratic Server), IP: 196.28.169.18:3074.

Stoopid iburst connection failed me and once I got it working again, it tells me that the BO servers are not available at this time.

Ek gaan speel sommer weer CODMW2, nie die helfte so baie lag gehad nie.
Met watse players? haha, ek het surprisingly Sondag aand n game gekry, so daar is nog n paar mense wat dit speel.
CoD4 servers is nog vol though.
Cant wait for the 25th. Then I'm getting Black Ops (After Exams).
