You also have to keep in mind, console dudes don't have to upgrade, unless they want better/bigger tv, but their graphics always stays the same... And they don't have the option for a cheap upgrade, replace the whole thing so stay left out.

Edit: BTW, we should take it somewhere else, this isn't the place to talk consoles. :D COD BO or GTFO! ;)
 
Hi guys, complained about this before but still no fix or solution, here we go again.

Basically when i join a server my ping shoots up to about 700 +- and stays there for about 5 min and then drops down back to 70-80.
I know this has something to do with live stats streaming and my 384 line cant handle playtime and uploading ., hence the ping spikes....

I played some combat mode last night and had about 13 bots playing with, IT WAS HEAVEN.. avg fps 110 gfx set to max....
Everything was sweet ,

Now i know what the game must feel and play like........
come on Treyarch , get you fingers out of your as& and fix this or redesign the game to update stats when you stop playing or leave a server......

I bought the q6600 as soon as it hit the SA market, still got it and it still rocks very nicely @3.0ghz. I came from an AMD64 3000+ to the quad .... was like wow! Only thing I changed between in the last few years was GPU, sold my 8800GT and bought a GTX280 about 2 yrs ago....

EDIT: Oh yeah and LCD display, went from 19" to a 23" Sammy... (that 27" is looking mighty temptin @ PC Zone - R2499 for the P2770H)

That is the thing. PC upgrades lasts forever (meaning you are always upgrading). While on console, you only buy hardware once.
And overseas there is not much price difference between PC and console games.
And that is exactly why you should have both....... FPS for the PC and almost all the rest on console:D

Ja, ja....
But I played now both, console and PC BO. And my pc just looks better. Most likeley because of the HD5870.....:D

Welcome to the forum.

Sign into steam and sign out of friends. So from the Friends Menu set it to offline. This has helped me and it has been reported to help others.... Good luck.

My ping issues are resolved. Its just the stuttering.
 
So I've been playing BO for two days... seemed fun at first but now I realize how crap this game really is. I will be selling my Steam account with MW2 and BO on it. I can't believe that there are developers that can code so bad, do so little testing and gives no feedback or updates as to what they are or are not doing to fix the product. The maps are boring and rounds are too short. The game is all about running and trying to kill shlt while someone lags into existence and kills you in a split second. Sniping is out of the question, I have not even been shot with a sniper rifle yet. You can't join your friends side, can't choose any side at any time, you don't stay in the same side as your clan mates and can't join your friends using steam (why did they go steam in the first place them). The game crashes all the time, never mind all the 999 lag issues every else has got (yay... one thing I can't rant about). I am already bored with the game... and sad that I waste money on a MW2 clone with tons of bugs.

Anyhow... I'll be waiting for BC2 MP7 and not waste any more time with this game or any COD game again.
 
To All Nvidia Card Users

I seem to have found a fix for me. Its not perfect. The game still stutters but this has been a huge improvement for myself. Please use the following drivers. A lot of the guys on steam forum seem to be having luck with these drivers as well.

Check Post 7 for respective Operating systems.

* Uninstall your current Drivers.
* Use Driver Sweeper to completely remove them.
* Restart PC.
* Install new driver(From the Link).


WARNING!!! These are beta so use at your own risk but it completely changed my game
