Official Black Ops Discussion Thread

/me 2c.

It's to hard to kill someone in normal mode and to easy to kill someone in HC mode. :wtf:

Sorry guys, had some issues with my PC last night, the Jeefo thing is still stuffing me around. It is so bad that I can't even do a reinstall.... WTF????

I ran like 4 different program scans that took about 5 hours. Then played a bit, but nothing serious. Hopefully I can get it sorted this afternoon when I get home...

You have a virus? Are you running win XX 64bit?

LOL...

No middle ground, ey?

I still think the whole last stand thing is broken. Wish they never put it in the game...

Excuses, excuses for a grown man running scared... Eish.

Some positive feedback.
GameServers said:
Some servers have been experiencing crashes at regular intervals. If you are affected by this, here is some information for you.

1: We have identified the likely cause of your crashing. We are relaying all information to Treyarch.

2: A fix for this may take some time to develop, depending on what parts of the actual server software need to be corrected.

We do not know when the fix will be implemented, but, knowing that nearly all crashing issues we have found are a result of one specific problem is an extremely good thing. When it is repaired, game stability should improve dramatically

u die faster in hc than in normal mode.:wtf:
hate coming around the corner and getting hit by a random bullet.

also laststand should be removed from hc. it kinda defeats the purpose.

You were the one running the last time we met online! ;)

No seriously, I can't get rid of this freaking virus. I am considering washing my PC in the bath to see if that will cure it...

has anyone tried using Gamebooster to enhance performance for black ops

will gamebooster work with steam?

Have you identified the culprit? Usually you should Enable "Hidden Files" and "System Files", disable system restore. Check the startup in the registry or with msconfig. Scan (AVG = goood) in safe mode and you're good to go. Or you can wash it in the bath. Just ensure you wait until it has dried out before swithcing it on. ;)

@ Code would you re enable system restore, or do you have it off permanently? im on win 7 64

I agree some of the "perks" are not really any good, but remember 2 things. The game is a bug fest:D so they need to sort it out.
The other thing is, if they listen to all of you, they can just as well give no perks at all. No tubing, no marathon, no nothing.

So yes, there is an issue, but the perks are there so live with it.....:p

You can re-enable just ensure you wipe all current restore points. Virusses use the feature to sneak back at a later stage. So disable and delete restore points, clean virus and re-enable.

Yeah, I know that. But if you look at them separately.

LOL...

Jy het nogsteeds nie gese watse Windows jy run nie. Daar is 'n program wat my nog altyd uit die k@k gehelp het: Combofix. Maar dit werk nie op 64bit windows nie.
