It's because you chose the wrong CPU to OC. My QX9650 had decent temps as well @ 4Ghz. :D Idle temps

OCZ Vendetta 2 cooler.
 
Hell the q6600 was like the first C2Q to hit the country .. I got it way back then .. 4yrs now ?

Right now its starting to cool down in durbs, 29C ... My cores are all sitting between 35 & 39 C at idle...

Morning guys.

So I took out my 250GB, reinstalled Windows on my 500GB and voila - 60 - 70 FPS without touching the CPU.

On the 250GB it took about 45 minutes to install Windows 7 X 64, on the 500GB took me about 20 minutes. HUGE improvement on performance. I think the drive was just a bit stuffed.

It still takes me a while to get into the game itself, but that is processor. At least I am not getting in when some guy has 3 kills already.
 
For interest sake, I took vertical synch off to see what my GPU can push, It averages between 55fps and 75fps, it peaks at about 95fps, lowest being about 45fps. Only thing is i get "tearing" with the synch off.....

Nice quick fix there Slaughter ... alltho its no really "quick" to do reload of everything ;)

Only took about 1 and a bit hours. I started the install of BO and went for my game of squash - when I came back it was done... :)

But as my friend always seems to remind me I want to spend R4K on a rig and expect R10K's performance... ;)

Why didn't you just backup your steamapps folder?

N is or rather was sG... Stiger, secret etc... They are definately gonna be one of the top teams...

KK 1st and DSW 1st are very strong teams... I know :p

But their second teams are less intimidating... Should be fun playing them. The binds are a bit stupid if you as me though...

Or just get a pair of Logitech G35's. 7.1 surround works like a charm. Sound is VERY accurate and I can almost always pin point the movement of the enemy just by listening.
