Phew, thought it was just me... Can't see any of the usual servers I use, must be Jo'burg ones.

Also, when I refresh international ranked servers, it's only displaying local servers. It'll only display international ones after clicking refresh like 20 times...
 
Yeah I dont think Cape town knew what hit them when all the Jozis came up as a result of Jhb down.


So now the time has come that the new map pack is released.
Will everyone get the pack?
 
I doubt I will get it unless the servers demand it, but I think initially I will wait and see what others think of it... It does look cool though.
 
I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers for my card yesterday, now I get in when the pre-match is running. The FPS seems to have been sorted as well... Still get spikes every now and then, but it is MUCH better... (hopefully it lasts)
 
Still have to download it, but I switched back to my GTX460 yesterday and load times are still slow. :( Stoopid ATI card and yes, I did uninstall all drivers.

Last night the JHB servers was still down. Don't know about today though. Are you guys getting a refund from mweb for the one day offline? :D

I am fo sho.
Who here hasn't finished the single player... I haven't. I will try play the single player, but then like 10 minutes in I think to myslef how much more fun would multiplayer be right now and I switch. Am I missing out?
 
You not missing anything dooby... MW2 SP was MUCH better!

Sharkie, get the driver dude, you won't be sorry. I went from getting into the game when some guy already has a killstreak, to getting in first (out of EVERYONE on the server)... It has made a HUGE difference!

Interesting, most of the time I don't get into the pre-match either. It's damn annoying as I like to use a lightweight/marathon/SMG class at first for the obvious advantages. Perhaps I should look at updating my HD6850 too.

Same dude and I once deleted my config files to troubleshoot a problem and lost my prev (maybe 30mins of play) saved game and had to start all over. I normally play SP when my internet is acting up.

Probably a bit off-topic but I came across something interesting on the interwebz regarding the Call of Duty series. Most of you probably already know that MW3 is in development and apparently Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games together with Infinity Ward are in on the act. According to Wiki, Sledgehammer Games is a new studio busy working on a new Call of Duty title. I thought this was MW3 they were talking about, but apparently not. They had to halt the work on their new Call of Duty game to help Infinity Ward complete MW3... Has anybody heard or read about this new COD game yet? Link here.

As far as I know the new maps are only available 1st of Feb on the XBOX for $15. That's roughly R105 and it also includes a new Zombie map. Check here. I don't know about "revised maps".

There are 5 new maps + one zombie and now old maps from previous games, it will only roll out on the first of Feb (according to STEAM news).
The cost is $15 and will be payable via Credit card as it was with Mw2.

I assume it will work as it did with MW2 once you paid it will download the maps else it will roll out a large update either tonight or tomorrow to update the map pack

The only problem is if the server rotate through the new maps you will be kicked so I gues frustration is going to grow untill you get the maps.



The other MW is a third person strategy.
