Currently (I think) only actual kills affect scoring in the game, while other things like headshots etc count towards XP only. Perhaps they could look at a method of discouraging something like tubing rather than "outlawing" it completely. Introduce a "level of difficulty" factor (similar to gymnastics, diving etc) where, for example, a headshot with a pistol would have more value than tubing someone. Say tubing someone at 10m had a level of difficulty factor of 1, while a pistol head shot from 25m had a factor of 1.5. The tube contributes 100 points (100 x 1) to the score while the pistol shot would mean 150 points (100 x 1.5) to the score. Similary things like claymores, last stand, martyrdom would have low factors with kills requiring more skill having higher factors.

As for the Mags comment and being from Durbs wtf ?? huh ? think GokuBB has shagged / smoked to many weed bombs....

BTW... I think guys, I have played all I can play in BLOPS for now. I dont think the DLC is going to even tempt me to go any further.... If they actually sorted out the problems, I might reconsider. But my patience has worn out with all the DC's and steam timeouts. In general, I would say MW2 with its p2p matching system was far less irritating than BLOPS.

I don't get it, except for Iburst lag, I don't have any problems with the game anymore. :confused: Just once in a while, if I click on recent, then the game would bomb, but other than that, I am as happy as a claymore in grass. :D
 
Game runs fine now, good ping. good FPS.
just getting the normal COD BS like tanking or hit reg!
 
I sometimes have a problem where steam uses all my bandwidth (with all my games up-to-date) and my ping shoots up over 500

Funny, since steam pauses all downloads when you start playing a game. Did you use a netmon or something to see if it really is steam?
 
When ingame open console and /stoprecord ... (this stops your video from uploading at the beginning of each map....
Also go to friends in steam and put yourself offline ... this also help with your ping as steam doesn't need to use bandwidth to check for friends and such...
Another good thing to disable is Steam Cloud ..... Right click call of Duty: Black Ops - Multiplayer, Properties, Updates - Steam Cloud (Untick) and close

Sounds similar to using the guided missile in black ops. There should rather be some kind of life drain/insta death if you sit in one area for too long... on selected servers of course. Killing campers is easy though, moving targets now thats a bit harder;)
