Official Black Ops Discussion Thread

Anyone played the pro-mod beta? Played it for a bit last night, it's quite fun... stuffed my game settings up though.

If you browse the unranked servers you will see a few, called XP mod/Pro Mod beta i think... basically it gives everyone the same config (from what i can tell) also tweaks the game a bit, like fog is completely removed, you can't hear your own footsteps at all while crouching, kills earn you 5 points, it renames the teams to attacking and defending (which is nice)... Oh and you must press F when you ready, and only when 5 guys from each side are ready will the match start.
 
Will check it out. The footstep thing can be done via config as well, but I prefer to have it on, as you start to think that the enemy won't hear you when moving, since you can't hear yourself. Well, that's what happened to me. :p
 
i downloaded the mod tools, i wouldnt recommend it if you dont have an idea what youre doing, it loaded two mods one is juggernaut cant remember the other
 
I have played with FtL - Tracer before. Remember seeing him in one or two games on VeGa. But can't say I have seen a lot of FtL members around. Same with Tz - never even heard of them until the fixtures came up...
 
Yep - Peanut joined us last week. Very glad to have him! Was watching him last night when we were practicing - he pwnd pretty hard! If he joined earlier we might have included him in the NGL tourney but we will see, you never know when a spot opens up! :)

Also, the HC league is going to be massive! Going to be much more difficult than the NGL one. You can basically snipe with a Python!!!! LOL...
 
What's your name in blops?

HC will be stoopid, for the guys defending, it will be campcore and the guys attacking will just not win... Some advice, take a mp5k with a silencer, you will be invincible... :D

ak47u or galil both with silencers are my choice weapons until I unlock the ak again :D

Thanx slaughter was pretty fun on sunday.
