Official COD MW3 Thread.

I've never understood why people enjoy HC... is camping fun? Is one **** kills with every gun fun?
 
This game is a complete waste of money. I was so stoked for it (hoping they'd improve on MW2)... It's actually a massive step backwards. The MP maps are horrid. Still haven't played single player but IMO nothing can touch the original COD4's SP.

I'm crying that I never bought BF3 instead.

All you're getting is a really expensive map pack. This is the last game I will buy in this franchise.
 
played a bit last night, i seem to have a bad connection on HC matches, go onto SC and i get 4 bar on HC always red one bar or two yellow and battle lag every time and i die, there was a tiny update this morning around 15 mb i think.

I am also disappointed with the sound. I cant hear anything with my Kaves either. I cant tank. I cant walk into a room and clear out 2/3. I can only take on 1 v 1...

But ja, I can't take on more than one enemy, even if I have the advantage of walking in behind them. It's asif the game won't allow you to be Bruce Willis. But let's give it time, I am sure it will come right. Keep in mind SAT3 is also giving issues at the moment, so latency might cause issues as well.
 
The game is growing on me a bit, especially when i do well :D

I still dont like the map design tho, it has basically resulted in it being very easy to get caught unawares and shot in the back and sides. Makes it very hard to dominate a match compared to mw2 so i suppose it does bring a bit of balance.
 
agggg fark.... It just gets worse for me... my mouse sensitivity jumps all over the place. game is unplayable...

Hmmm interestinky. Never really noticed it, but now I will keep an eye out! Was wondering why I am struggling to get kills... :(

You know I usually end up top 2/3 in every map I play, but now I am struggling to make top 4. And it is NOT because IRNoob. I watch kill cams and I am like WTF??? I was looking exactly where the guy was shooting me from and I didn't see him. If I go look at replays he wasn't there. Or, I see a guy, start shooting at him but he kills me, on KC he wasn't where I was shooting. I understand latency and the given issues with it, but it is like I am ghosting like crazy.

I even went as far as recreating my port yesterday, and it helped - if only slightly. Will keep an eye out for the mouse issue, but can't really say that I ever picked it up, or maybe I did but just didn't notice it with all the other sh*t going on.

Played a game or two on Dedi's yesterday and it was AWESOME! Smooth as a baby's behind - I imagine like it was meant to be. Even smoother than Blops. Try it out.
 
I honestly thought at first it was lag, but my ping bar was full... eventualy last night i figured out it was the mouse sensitivity. I tried setting the sensitivity up & down on MW3, tried at 500, 1500 & 4000 DPi.... nothing helped. Going to test my mouse polling rate later today. By default windows sets it to 125mhz, my mouse (sidewinder X8) is spec'd at 500mhz (its wireless). So gonna see if the usb port on the mouse matches. If not have to "hack" the OS into "Test Mode" to allow an unsigned driver to be loaded. This will allow me to change the polling rate as required. Then I will see if it helps at all.

I've been finishing fracking stone last, at best 2nd last!
 
G you dont perhaps have sync every frame on in your display options as that also reduces mouse movement?

8. PC Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Mouse Sensitivity doubles unexpectedly.

Close programs running in the background and check if MW3 is set on high priority and turn priority for all other programs to normal or low.

Uninstalling FRAPS did help in some cases.
Open Task Manager by right-clicking on Taskbar and select "Task Manager".

Once you open Task Manager, go to "Processes" tab, right-click on any running process and change the priority using "Set Priority" menu. You'll notice some system processes are set to "High" priority and almost all 3rd party processes are set to "Normal" by default.

iGame has a CompMod server running, with some promod restrictions applied. Would be nice if we could try these settings out and help spread the word about it. :)
 
Yeah, I can't believe they left so much of the old code in that the hacks work from day one :/
 
yeah those vids pretty much somes up the mess this game is.

"arrogance" and "lazy" i thouht the exact same
"the use of the same buildings", i definately spotted areas that were exactly the same.

Please get your facts straight on this....

There is no SAT issue affecting SA connection to Europe. The problem on the undersea cable past Portugal is not the SAT 3 cable but a cable that is ALSO linked into other than a few others used to get into Europe.

MWEB made a mistake by informing it's clients that there is a SAT 3 problem affecting their services.

Look at this if you need more information.

Slagter op 'n ander note, ek moet sê met al die k@k wat in die game is kan dit nogal enjoyable wees defnitief baie beter as wat MW2 en BOPS in die begin was.
Seker dit gan net so tydjie vat dan is alles uitgesort.
