Official Currie Cup Thread 2012

The only tough aspect is guessing the margin. Let me show you how this is done:

Cheetahs over Bulls

WP over Griquas

Sharks over Lions...

:D

Told ya.

Bloody Hemi300c got the rub of the green with the margins though - stole my yellow cap...

I could not find a Cheetahs Thread ... which is a pity for such a proud team.

Anyhow, this is great news for the team and Saffer rugby ;)

Goosen back for Cheetahs

Toyota Free State Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has included young flyhalf sensation Johan Goosen in his starting line-up for the Currie Cup clash against GWK Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday.

Goosen will make his return to the field after he injured his shoulder in a Super Rugby match against the Highlanders in Bloemfontein earlier in the season.

He was sidelined for nearly four months after surgery to his shoulder and will make his comeback partnering with scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius.

Goosen was promoted to the starting line-up in the place of Riaan Smit, who dislocated his shoulder in the Cheetahs' 32-18 victory over the Blue Bulls over the weekend.

Smit along with scrumhalf Piet van Zyl, who broke his collarbone, will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Drotské also included winger Rayno Benjamin in his run-on side while Tewis de Bruyn will be the replacement scrumhalf.

Toyota Cheetahs team: Hennie Daniller, Rayno Benjamin, Robert Ebersohn (captain), Barry Geel, Raymond Rhule, Johan Goosen, Sarel Pretorius, Kabamba Floors, Lappies Labuschagne, Frans Viljoen, Andries Ferreira, Izak van der Westhuizen, Marcel van der Merwe, Hercu Liebenberg, Trevor Nyakane.

Replacements: Elandre Huggett, Schalk van der Merwe, Francois Uys, Davon Raubenheimer, Tewis du Bruyn, Sias Ebersohn, Nico Scheepers

Sharks are screwed with injuries. Gonna be a tough one this weekend but I have faith in the boys...

I hope that dirty stomping fsck is cited ..... no place in the game for that typical Bulls shyte.

Good try young pups but you took foot of teh pedal and let the defence lapse. Three good tries show you can do it but gotta gel more as a team.

Apart from that 1 dirty bastard and his stomping, was a good game to watch.

Much better performance from the Bulls this week.

Also a great win by the Lions. The competition this year appears to be wide open.

**** this Superbru season!! The teams aren't playing fair!!! :anger:
