Rumours:

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Polish wonderkid Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw.

However, Arsenal have been told they must increase their offer of £1.6m to around £2.5m.

Wonder if Wenger is pondering this or has already dismissed the extra £900k as "ludicrous" :D
A quality CM and CB are sorely needed but yeah...

Thought they didn't get along since the Man City days :/

MOYES TO SWOOP FOR JOEL CAMPBELL?

Real Sociedad have emerged as the new favourites to sign Arsenal’s Joel Campbell this January transfer window.

Sociedad boss David Moyes has admitted he’ll take a look at the English market to strengthen his La Liga outfit, and Campbell appears to be a target.

Inter Milan had headed the betting, but have since drifted out to 4/1, with Sociedad now out in front in the race at 2/1.

Liverpool FC on brink of selling Oussama Assaidi - but Reds are yet to receive bid for Lucas Leiva

The Moroccan winger will move to the Middle East but Reds are reluctant to sell Brazilian midfielder
Liverpool FC are on the brink of selling winger Oussama Assaidi to Dubai-based Al-Ahli for £4.7million.

The 26-year-old winger's season-long loan spell at Stoke City has been terminated so he can make a permanent move to the Middle East.

The deal represents remarkable business for the Reds, who only paid Dutch club Heerenveen £2.4million for the Morocco international in the summer of 2012.

Assaidi never looked like establishing himself at Anfield as he made just six starts and six substitute appearances during his first season at the club.

He spent the whole of the 2013/14 season on loan at Stoke and he returned there on the final day of last summer's transfer window.

Assaidi's opportunities have been limited under Mark Hughes this term and Al-Ahli's approach suits all parties.

Their offer of 6million Euros (£4.7million) was swiftly accepted and Liverpool expect the transfer to go through in the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, the Reds have yet to receive a bid from Inter Milan for midfielder Lucas Leiva.

The Brazil international has been linked with a £7million move to the San Siro but Liverpool are reluctant to sell him.

There is certainly no chance of Lucas, who has been ever present during the club's recent seven-game unbeaten run, being allowed to leave on loan.

About time

We have too many players for that role and we have priorities in other positions.

I will be happy for just a goalkeeper, but if we can get a box to box midfielder I'll be happy.

On the wings? Who?

You already have Henderson and Can as box-to-box midfielders, and Mignolet is a good goalie let down by poor defensive tactics.

That midget is too slow for a winger. I'm glad we did not buy him.

I'm referring to the position that Lucas plays in seeing we might get rid of him

a good shot stopper yes but the mistakes he tends to make are his alone though. some goals are down to him being in the worst form of his life. he has a wtf moment at least every game. I don't mean a 'that's peculiar' but a WTF was he thinking. and that's not down to bad defensive tactics, which are bad as well. obviously.

wonder who the defensive and gk coaches are. seems they doing a bit of a shyte job unfortunately.
